Description
This Tudor 94200 chronograph features a silver dial with black sub-dials and a black tachymeter bezel insert. This was an earlier version of the more common Big Block 79160.
These earlier models came with the Rolex factory bracelet, in addition to the Rolex case back and crown, typical on the more common 791** series. For this reason, these are far rarer than their 79160 counterparts and are less commonly seen for sale.
Big Block models were, for a long time the largest Oyster case produced by the Rolex factory. It was ahead of its time with its 40mm size and still commands attention today, almost 50 years after the watch initially launched. Powered by the workhorse ETA 7750 movement, these are easy to service and find parts for.
Seller states they have owned the watch for 3 years.
This watch has been fully serviced by Rolex Service Center NY. The seller decided not to polish the watch, so you will see that on the receipt. However, RSC polished the watch by mistake. As a consolation, the cost of the service was free. The seller claims that the watch retained its sharp edges and thickness despite the polishing.
The dial retains its original lume plots (they no longer illuminate), the matching hands will light up slightly when exposed to bright light.
The watch will include a service warranty card, which expires in April 2023, as well as a service receipt with the seller’s redacted personal information. The seller will also include a Tudor velvet service pouch and states that the watch is fully linked and will fits wrists up to 7.75 inches.
This Tudor watch has been verified by Watch Paddle and is currently being held at our facility. This watch is ready to ship to the auction winner.
@Christopher Heck I know that I answered via email days ago but wanted to post here for anyone else who may have the same question.
We do not disclose reserves nor when reserves are met. We have seen folks taking advantage of this information in a way that hurts the whole community.
Ian @WatchPaddle
Will we know if the reserve is met when the auction is still live or not until auction has concluded? Thank you
What does the Watch Paddle verification process entail?
