Description
This vintage Elgin automatic watch features a date and very unique calendar function.
Auction is being re-listed due to a non-paying bidder. Their 5% buyer’s fee has not been refunded, and they have been banned from bidding on future auctions.
The barrel-shaped stainless steel case has a screw-in back for water resistance, although the seller states he would not consider the watch water resistant unless it is serviced.
The original greyish blue dial has lumed hour markers that barely illuminate.
The watch has an acrylic crystal and an almost new hand-made lamb strap. The movement is a caliber UT 52 with 25 jewels and quick-set day date. The diameter of the case is 36mm without the crown and the lug to lug measurement is 42.7mm. The watch is in good condition with some minor surface scratches on the case.
